Keeping Sweet Butterfly Occupied

~ @39 to 41 months ~
Backdated post for May to Aug 2014

It was hard to have 1-to-1 play based learning with Sweet Butterfly after Busy Bee was born.  Whenever possible, I tried to introduce some activities with certain learning objectives in mind.  These were ad-hoc activities which I had set up in the spur of the moment and when Busy Bee was napping.
We started with some simple and mess free activities

Learning objectives: Creativity, Fine Motor, Patience, Story Telling.

Sticky Door Alphabet Flowers
Learning Objectives: Alphabets, Matching, Letter Sounds

Pompom Sensory Box (an old idea)
Learning Objectives: Sorting, Imaginative Play

Hello Kitty File Folder Game
Learning Objectives: Counting, Sorting, Puzzle

Hole Punching (Idea from Picklebums)
Learning Objectives: Build hand and arm muscles

Letter Construction
Learning Objectives: Alphabets, Building according to picture

Princess Printable Pack
Learning Objectives: Maths, 1-to-1 Correspondence, Colours

Sometimes, Busy Bee needed our attention and I felt too tired to prepare activities.  So we just lazed around and play.
Learning Objectives: Siblings Bonding

At times, I felt like a big energy ball, so we did a little more messy stuffs.
Ice-cream Making
Learning Objectives: Cooking

Marble Painting
Learning Objectives: Hand-eye Coordination

Puffy Paint
Learning Objectives: Hand-eye Coordination, Fine Motor

Super Soft Play Dough
Learning Objectives: Imaginative Play, Fine Motor
Painting An Ark
Learning Objectives: Fine Motor, Arm Muscles, Colours

And so, we managed, with lots of fun.
