Daddy got Sweet Butterfly a brand new stand-up kitchen. It now sits nicely inside her castle. We love it to bits and my brain had been spinning up learning activities. So how can we use our toy kitchen as a teaching aid in Tot School?
- Vegetable: Cabbage, broccoli, lettuce
- Carbohydrates: pasta
- Fruits: Kiwi
- Food preparation: Washing and cutting
When Sweet Butterfly was about 20 months, I downloaded the printables from kizclub for the book, “Eating Alphabets”. Thought it would be a great aid to teach her the various vegetables and fruits starting from A to Z. We haven’t used this printables much as Sweet Butterfly wasn’t exactly ready. But now, the cards are sitting nicely in the fridge compartment. Yeah!
We cut some broccoli.
Put it into the pot to boil with the pasta.
Added some lettuce.
Turned off the fire.
Our dinner was ready.
And we started eating.
We had a second course of fruits. Cut kiwi. I explained to her the importance of eating fruits.
Stay tune if you want to know what else we did in our kitchen.
